Walk into any of our 7 locations in North and South Carolina. Nothing is weighed out of your sight, and nothing is bought until you say so.

Step 1 - Bring It In

Bring whatever you have, sorted or not. Broken pieces, single earrings and tangled chains are all fine. No appointment is needed at any of our 7 locations.

Step 2 - We Sort and Test

Each piece is checked for its metal and its karat. Anything worth more as jewelry than as metal is set aside before anything is weighed.

Step 3 - We Weigh It in Front of You

Everything is weighed on the counter where you can see the scale. Nothing goes into the back.

Step 4 - You Get a Number

We tell you what each piece is, what it weighs, and what we will pay for it, item by item.

Step 5 - You Decide

There is no pressure and no obligation. If you want to think about it, take it home. The evaluation costs nothing either way.

Step 6 - Paid the Same Day

If you decide to sell, we write you a check on the spot.

Yes. Broken chains, bent rings, single earrings and pieces missing stones are all worth their metal value, and damage does not reduce it. Bring it in as it is. There is no need to sort or clean anything first.
Yes. We buy sterling silver jewelry, flatware and tea sets. Due to market conditions, Brownlee Jewelers is not currently able to purchase silver plate items. If you are not sure which you have, bring it in and we will check the marks for you.
No. The evaluation is free and there is no obligation attached to it. Plenty of people come in to find out what something is worth and take it home again, and that is a perfectly good reason to visit.
